"Forgotten password?"

If you'd been paying attention in the last few days you might have noticed the blog vanish off the face of the net...

This had something to do with the modem's configuration getting all messed up and needing them 'defaulting' which in itself wasn't the end of the world... the problem was not actually having any idea what the password for the ADSL connection was! Whoops. It's now stored deeply in my mind so hopefully next time Chris won't have to get our provider to email a section of their RADIUS configuration file, containing the all important password to him!

I use the word 'password' rather lightly as it looks like something a cat could have typed. Speaking of which... if you have problem with pussies on your keyboard you might want to try PawSense.

Is that a cat that knows how to use the shift key?

Cats are four legged beasts, it's quite easy for them to press the shift key (without knowing what effect this has!) with one foot and another key with another the other foot. Especially considering where the other key is you're thinking about...

The more I think about it, the password could be easily made with a cat walking across the keyboard left to right... (maybe!?)

PS doesn't your keyboard have a numeric keypad?

(Slowly etching away at the entropy of the password here :-))

You know I use a laptop most of the time... so no, no keypad (well... not without reassigning part of the keyboard). I've never been a big keypad user.

As for the adsl password, I think it's pretty unlikely anyone would guess it, and even if they did, it'd hardly be be the end of the world.
