Jacket Potatoes...

Right... I've been planning on moaning about this for a while now... but never got around to it for some reason or another...

When I can't be arsed to make lunch at home (erm... most days) I usually buy a filled jacket potato from the cafeteria. I've found that this is the most cost effective way of filling me up. I could have a slice of pizza at something silly like 1.40 for a slice... or a potato filled with cheese and tuna & sweetcorn mayo for £2.18.

I'm becoming annoyed with the level of fillings I'm receiving depending on the person who's serving. I'm guessing that it all depends on what the person themselves thinks that they could eat... there's one person who usually serves me and usually gives me 1 and half big scoops of each filling - nearly filling my carton! Then there's the other skinny girl who'll give a small spoon and the tiniest of second spoon - I've even seen her put some back if she thinks she's put too much on.

Today, however, took the piss.

Some builder guys were in there and one was complaining at the checkout that his helping of pasta was somewhat small. No shit. She must have given him a whole half of a ladle... the checkout person had a word with who's clearly a new member of staff - "You've got to give them more than that, it's a main meal". I noticed that another guy's jacket had a really small smidgen on tuna on it... great.

I decided I'd go back later when either she'd have got the sack for being the most stingy shit ever, or had been shouted out sufficiently for being a stingy shit.

Alas, when I got back she was still working there, and gave me pretty much bugger all. The bitch.

I've decided that I'm going to take a photo of each one of these "identical" meals I get, and tabulate them up against server. If I can find some scales I'll weigh them too. If there is a crazy difference in weight/size after a period of time I'll write a letter to CRS and let the know about my gripe. Ooooh, apparently they are ISO 9001:2000 compliant... :-)

I need to go and find me some scales...
