Just been looking a page on Yahoo's commemorative "oooh look we've been going ten years" site. It's quite funky. It's a list of 100 defining moments that defined the web in the last 5 years.
It's was inspired by another site, 10x10, which has the tagline of "100 Words and Pictures that Define the Time". What time you may ask? The current hour - and past hours since November 2004. It basically subscribes to news sites and does lingustical analysis to guess what words are currently in the news. It then finds a photo from a newssite to go with the world. It's all quite clever stuff really!
