I've just been in town to watch No Country For Old Men. Well in the theme that's always been prevalent in this blog I'm not going to write a long winded review of the film :-) It won 4 Oscars. Go figure.
Having only knowingly watched two Coen brothers films, with the other one being their first, Blood Simple, they bear a remarkable resemblance - even though they've been filmed over 20 years apart. Not that that's a bad thing of course. I liked Blood Simple.
On the bus back, oddness occurred. Basically, I got a ticket back to Dunkirk, and the other person I was with was got a ticket back to Beeston Rylands. For them that are clueless about the whereabouts of place in Nottingham... Beeston Rylands is about 2 miles further than Dunkirk.
So... why did it cost 10p less to go there?
This is of course a very important question. Would have have been better off saying I was going to the Rylands and got off sooner. Or would I have been dragged back on the bus and told to wait until I was where I was saying I was going.
Don't worry folks. The bus company have been emailed, asking them the very same thing. I await their reply... and then I'll inform you... just so you know!
So, I've got a reply to my email asking about the cheaper fare to go further...
It's a mistake on the fare charts and should also be £1.50. Apparently the depot and the scheduling will be informed to correct things.
Sorry people living in the Rylands... but the price of your 18 has just gone up!
