OK, so the silent ringtone in the last message crashes my phone quite quickly...
If you answer the call it kills the audio both in and out so the call doesn't happen - ever again until you turn off the phone and turn it on again! When you hang up the vibrate will just keep going on and on... not good. The fact it vibrated at all was bad enough!
So... I've made another one, this time it doesn't crash my phone and there's no vibrate - well ok, there's one vibrate after 2 minutes of ringing... but I'm guessing either the person calling or the network will have given up ringing your phone by then... the bad news is that it's slightly bigger...
Enjoy...
I'm happy i live in England and I got the motorola RIZR not out till 2007 and the silent rintone works the pope sent me a message in a metting and only I could hear it thanks Ed.
P.S. When u die u r comin to heaven.
ok..so what does this silent ringtone actually do..what is the purpose of it??
Posted by: cool dude on August 9, 2006 1:55 PMIt's purpose is to not make a noise, 'tis all in the name :-)
It's so you can assign it to a certain caller group on your mobile to ensure that all calls coming from that group don't make the phone make a noise - people who might continually call you and you don't want them to disturb you - ex-s, calling centres, that sort of thing.
Some phones might have it so you can set the level of the ringtone to silent for a certain group, mine and others doesn't however, hence the ringtone.
does this only work on the razor? because i have a nokia and my carrier is tmobile and i downloaded this high pitched ringtone that people over 25 supposedly cant hear.. and it doesnt work on my phone.
Posted by: meh on October 7, 2006 10:38 PMThe ringtone I offer is properly silent. Like, no sound :-) Mine's not designed so old people can't hear it, it's designed so no one can hear it!

They go as low as age 24 up to age 60. they're free to. Right click and save link, then open with iTunes, just send to your phone by bluetooth
