You might have heard that hurriacane Katrina has pushed US petrol prices up to over $3 a gallon - this is big news apparantly!
Now Google tells me that 1gallon in liters is 3.7854118 litres. So, by my reckoning, that's a whopping 79 cents a litre.
Or in English money... with today's exchange rate, around 43p. Oh, how my heart bleeds for all those American petrol guzzlers...
