Reasons why Burger King are more poo that McDonald's...

[These are all based up on the Drive Through BK in Leicester and as such may not be accurate of all outlets]

  • They are expensive.
  • The times I've been in the Leicester one the service has been all kinds of crap. The guy didn't know how to operate the credit card machine, which made me look like I'd stolen my own credit card... the next time I went in he still couldn't work it (for someone else, I'd learnt to use cash there) and needed to get the manager to get it to work. He also had issues. Instead of serving me, the guy watched the manager as he tried to get someones card authorised instead of taking my order. The manager then told him to "server the customers". He finally took Chopper's order... and then went off to fill up chip bags, not just one for Chopper, but a whole hoard of them, even though there weren't any others needed. Eventually he asked me for my order... oh look my Chicken Whooper™ needed to be cooked for me, if only he'd taken my order before filling the bags of frys... now, in McDonald's they say "it'll be a while, take a seat and I'll have someone bring it over for you". I just had to stand waiting...
  • They have silly coloured lights in the toilets...
  • You ask for sauce and it comes in sachets... what use is that to me if I don't have a plate? Now, ok they have dipping things in McD's, but even if they didn't, I could have put my fries into the lid of my burger box and put on the mayo, making a makeshift plate... but BK seems to like greaseproof paper for its burgers... unless you order a Whopper™ or something like that, which comes with a box...
  • Bags for fries is also crap. OK so McDs do it with small fries, but not with anything bigger than that. That's annoying, 'cause you can't stand up the fries, so they get all over the skanky table too. Now I could use the greaseproof paper as a plate, but I think that's quite iccky...
  • Every offer under the sun excludes the Chicken Whopper™
  • They are expensive. Increased cost and less service... what crap.

If I wasn't a cheap bastard I'd have phoned up the 'Does your visit today live up to your expectations?' number, whilst stood there... I can't do that now, 'cause I expect it to be crap!
