Just thought I'd post a message telling the world how to turn off the annoying hold music on BT's Diverse 5000 phones, because I'm sure you might search for such detail on the Internet and not find the answer like I did... and you might not want to phone the helpline...
Press Menu, then 89170 and then OK.
If you decide you want to annoy your callers... press press Menu, then 89171 and it'll turn it back on.
Disclaimer: Don't blame me if it breaks your phone system... :) Hasn't broken mine yet...
