Title says it all really... I went for my hearing test yesterday and all is well.
I thought that the hearing test was a little mickey mouse to be honest... keep playing a burst of a tone (the same tone) at ever decreasing volumes until you can't hear it and move on to the next frequecy - and always leave about a second between each tone. It's hard to work out if you've heard the tone or if you've managed to keep the rhythm going in your head... I'd have thought a more unpredicatable approach would have been better - random frequency... random ear... random level, but hey.
Here be my results... loving recreated in MATLAB.

Anything less that 20dB is bad apparantly... Looks like I'm missing some bass.
The way you suggest as being the best way is how the test should be done; it is usually one ear at a time, but the random frequency and volume bit is how it should be. Certainly every hearing test I've ever had has been like that, and I've had quite a few.
Your test result represents normal hearing as far as it goes - it's a little better than mine was last time I had it done. It certainly means that you shouldn't have any problems with normal conversation, so no excuses there.
