That'll help matters...

Just found this on the BBC News site. The caption that made me smile :-)

Some Indian Muslims burnt an effigy of the world's Roman Catholic leader who quoted remarks which linked Islam to violence.

Just so you know, I'm gonna kick the ass of anyone who dares to say I'm violent. OK?

I'm so with you in this one. As a rule, I tend to avoid religion because it confuses and annoys me.

Their reaction to the popes comments have totally proved his point.

The fact of the matter is large amounts of violence going on in the world at the moment are because of / involving muslims.

All I say here, is what I said at the "Grill a Christian" nights...

"Over 90% of wars have occurred due to religion, therefore would the world not be a more peaceful place without it? And therefore by supporting a religion are you not furthering conflict in an otherwise peaceful world?"

Lets face it, you don't see atheists getting all peeved at the pope... Answers on a comment below.

Totally agree!

I heard someone once say that "religion is the only thing that can allow a good man to do evil things and remain a good man".

Personally I'm agnostic. I believe in a god, just not 'their god'. I was so confused about religion for a long time but this makes sense. Organised religion is a bad thing - just a way of controlling the masses. I don't follow 'their rules' but also make a point of not being a bad person, not because I want to go where the good religious people go but because it's the right thing to do.

I'm not opening the can of worms any farther than they have, but I must say I love this picture! (in it's context)
