I've been working on removing referal spamming from my webstats recently... I'd explain what referal spamming is... but you'd be better to Google it, 'cause it's already out there. It'd be ironic if this post, which mentions referal spam ends up on the top of Google. If that's the case I promise that I will edit the post and explain it!
Anyways. In trying to see who's really refering my website and who's just pretending to get the slight possibiltiy of Google points or whatever... it's involved looking at my server logs in some detail. This is how I found out about the Chilean who's been stealing our bandwidth... and dealt him a subtle hint that he'd annoyed me...
Well, I've just looked at there's some Italian dude who's using the same image on a completely unrelated forum. So, he's been telling everyone he's a loser in Spanish for the last however long... so, I was thinking that I could make it dynamically change the image to say that's he's either a loser in Spanish or in Italian depending on where the people are getting the image from!
Shouldn't be that much work...
